The 2008 Versa Sedan is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, available in two trims, the 1.8 S and the 1.8 SL. The Versa S has a 6 speed manual transmission, 1.8-liter, I4, 122-horsepower engine, and is built on Nissan’s “B” platform. Nissan has unveiled the redesigned Versa at the New York Auto Show. Essentially a rebadged Sunny, the Versa has a “refreshing design” with an “upscale look.” We’re not entirely inclined to agree, but the model features jewel-like headlights, chrome accents, and 15-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin is sparsely equipped and material quality seems subpar. Despite this, Nissan says the Versa has more rear legroom than “luxury cars such as the Lexus LS460, BMW 5-series and Mercedes E-Class.” Power comes from a 1.6-liter four-cylinder that develops 109 hp (81 kW / 111 PS) and 107 lb-ft (145 Nm) of torque. It is paired to a five-speed manual transmission which enables the car to have an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 27 mpg city / 36 mpg highway (30 mpg city / 37 mpg highway with the optional Xtronic CVT gearbox). Set to arrive at US dealerships later this summer, the 2012 Versa will be priced from 990.

FOR PRICING & SPECS ON THIS CAR VISIT: www.kbb.com Nissan Versa. With gas prices fluctuating, more people are considering smaller, fuel-efficient cars but do not want to sacrifice the creature comforts they have come to depend on. Nissans response to this growing demand is the new Versa. It offers compact-car affordability and gas mileage while providing the comfort and quality of a mid-size sedan. Welcome to Kelley Blue Books Review of the Nissan Versa. Entry-level cars have a reputation for being meagerly equipped and cramped. The Nissan Versa challenges that reputation with uncharacteristic safety, technology and performance features and a generous helping of cabin space. The Versa is available in hatchback and sedan forms, in basic S and better-equipped SL trims. Several packages are also available, offering features almost never found in this segment. Both the sporty hatchback and practical sedan deliver unprecedented legroom and options at a price that wont break the bank.
